"And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground." Nehemiah 8:6
We are all going to face trials and tribulations along the road of life. There are going to be times when things are so bad we are not going to even want to get out of bed in the morning because of all of the things we know we have to face. The time comes to go to Church and because of the myriad of things facing us we decide not to go and worship the Lord because of the things we have pressing in our lives. There is something about being in the worship experience that can lift us up no matter how far down we may be, and what we may be going through. I encourage you today no matter how you feel, to go to Church today with a made up mind to worship and praise the Lord. Ezra blessed the Lord and all the people said Amen while lifting up their hands they praise the Lord for all of the great things He had done in their lives. You to should go to your worship experience with up lifted hands and praise the Lord for the great things He has done and doing in your life. Your situation may not be the greatest but you can still lift your hands in the sanctuary and give the Lord praise. Not only should you praise the Lord, but you should worship Him as well, there is something so incredible about worshiping the Lord even with tears in your eyes. You can still bow your head and fall down on your face and worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord, because He is marvelous and He is doing marvelous things in your life. I will worship and praise the Lord today and lift my hands in the sanctuary for my God is doing great things in my life, and this is why I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

"And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:6
The Lord has given all of us some promises, and some things He said He would do in our lives. Once the Lord makes us a promise we come to a place where we want the Lord to do whatever it is He promised us right now. Some of the promises of the Lord do happen immediately and there are other promises which do not come right away. The Lord promised Abraham He would bless him, and even though it sounded like something which would never happen Abraham believed the Lord and the Lord counted Abraham righteous. I encourage you today to be like Abraham and believe the promises the Lord has for your life. It may seem like it can not be done, or it is a little far fetched, but if the Lord promised it to you, then He will do what He said He would do in your life. There are some things the Lord had promised you a long time ago, and it seems like He has forgotten all about the promise He made for your life. The Lord never forgets what He said He would do for you, if He promised it He will do it. Wait on the promises of God and He will bless your life. People may let you down every time with the things they have promised you, but the Lord will never let you down. He will never go back on the things He has said for your life. The Lord will make a way for you no matter what the situation looks like right now. Trust the Lord to bring you out and bring you through and you like Abraham will be counted as righteous, and when you are counted as righteous in the Lord's eye then the blessings of the Lord will always flow in your life. I thank God for every promise He has made for my life and I know He will come through for me this is why I know, "It's My Year To Get My Ting From My God!"

"For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. " Psalm 27:5
Life has a way of taking us on a roller coaster ride, one day everything is going well and then all of a sudden it feels like the bottom has dropped out of life. It seems at times that our good days are few and far between, and our bad days last forever, our days seem to be short and our nights long and dark. It is in these times we must look at all of the great things the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. Once we are able to look at the situation and see how good the Lord has been in our lives before our bad days will not seem so bad, and our dark nights will not seem so dark. The Scripture reminds us that even in the time of trouble the Lord is there for us. I encourage you as you go throughout your day, and trouble begins to rise, and it looks like the bottom is about to drop out, simply look up and see the goodness of the Lord in your life. For in the time of trouble the Lord will hide you in a secret place, to wait out the trouble, and the storms which has come your way. The Lord will set you on a rock to lift you up above what the enemy is trying to do to you. So when trouble comes your way, do not look to people and things to get you out of the trouble, just look to the Lord and He will hide you and lift you up and set you up on a rock higher than your enemy. I thank God that in the time of trouble I have a secure place in Him. Even when I have bad days I can declare they do not out weigh my good days because the Lord has been there for me this is why I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
Trouble is going to come rather we look for it or not. We can be sitting somewhere minding our own business and trouble will show up. It would be a wonderful thing if trouble would give some type of notice, or a warning before it shows up in our life, unfortunately it does not. When trouble arises in our lives it is imperative we handle trouble the right way. We do not have to panic and worry because trouble has shown up, because we serve a great God He will always be there for us even when trouble arises. The Scripture reminds us what to do when adversity comes in our lives. I encourage you today to follow the instructions of the Scriptures and remember you may have trouble on every side but you do not have to be distressed. No matter how hard you try you will never keep trouble away, but you do not have to be distressed when it shows up. You may be perplexed about some things you are going through, but you do not have to be in despair, because God is on your side. People may try to persecute you for serving God, but you are never forsaken because of who you belong to. You may feel like you have been cast down, and cast out, but you still do not have to worry because you will not be destroyed, for the Lord will see you through every situation and circumstance you may go through. As you go throughout this day and trouble decides to show up do not worry, or be perplexed or in despair, simply place all of your worry and your fears in the hands of the Lord and He will see you through. This is why I know for sure, "It's My Year to Get My Thing From My God!"

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
Life has a way of being hard from time to time. In the economy and times in which we live it becomes increasingly difficult to make ends meet. The things we once did and took for granted now needs to be looked at and thought out well before we do them. When life becomes hard it is easy for doubt to creep in and rise up in our life and we feel like we can not accomplish whatever it is we set out to do. When doors are closed in our face and everything we do does not work it is easy to throw in the towel and give up and give in. The Scripture reminds us today that even when things are difficult we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I encourage you as you go throughout this day to remember whatever comes your way and no matter how difficult it may be, you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you. You can do not have to feel defeated by the circumstances which have come your way in life, you can accomplish anything as long as you have Christ on your side. Do not ever let go of God's hand and let Him lead you through the storm and the rain, even through heartache and pain. When you allow Christ to empower you, there is not anything you will not be able to accomplish. When doors are shut in your face, you know with Christ there will be many more doors He will open for you. When people fail you, you are not worried because you know you can do it because Christ is on your side. There is not anything I can not do with Christ on my side, because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me day by day. This is why I am so confident, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

"For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?" Romans 8:24
What do we really mean when we say we trust God? Is it that we only trust God when things are going well in our lives, and as long as things are good we trust God to provide for what we already have. What happens when things are not going as well as we like, and we do not have everything we think we should have, do we think God has walked away from us and abandoned us to fend for ourselves? It is in the times when things are not going well that our trust in God should be activated more than ever. It is easy to trust God when the sun is shining in our lives, but what about when the rain falls? The Scripture reminds us we have hope, and we do not hope for what is seen. I encourage you today not to give up on trusting God just because things are not going well in your situation. You can still hope even when it seems like all hope is gone, because when you trust God you have hope that He will come through for you. Hope that is seen is not hope, if you already have the car, house, job, or whatever it is you want from life then there is no reason to continue to hope for what you already have. Hope is when you do not have it and do not know how you are going to do it, where it is going to come from, or how it is going to happen. You just trust God enough to know He will bring you through, thus you have a hope that is built on a foundation that can not be broken, and is never shaken. Do not give up hope, because God has never failed you before and He will not fail you now. I thank God He always gives me reason to hope, because He has never failed me and I know He never will this is why I am adamantly confident, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" 1 Corinthians 1:27
There have been times when we have prayed for things and instead of things going in the direction we thought they would go in after we prayed they went in the totally opposite direction. Life at times takes twist and turns which we just do not understand, and it is in these times we wonder if our prayers were even heard. The Scripture reminds us God knows just what He is doing even when we can not figure it out. God chooses the foolish things of the world to shame those who think they are wise. I encourage you today not to give up on God when things look like they are going in the totally opposite direction in which you prayed. God chooses the things of the world which others have thrown away and rejected, and He takes those things and molds them and shapes them into what He wants them to be. People may look at you, and all you have been through and feel like you should not be where you are today, but God takes the things which are least likely to, and makes them great. Do not be discouraged when things do not look like they are working out according to your plan, just know God has a plan and His plan will always work out. God takes the weak things of the world to shame those thing which are mighty, and He will take those in your way who think they are more powerful than you and put them to shame. So when it looks like things are falling off in your life, just know God has a plan for you, and He will bring you through every situation you go through in life. I thank God He has a plan for my life and even when things are not going the way I think they should go, I still know God is working it out for me. This is why I know without a doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
