“For I am the Lord, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
Malachi 3:6
If we have lived any length of time we all have experienced things changing around us.
Gas prices are not the same as they were just a month ago. Eggs cost more than they
did a year ago. We experience the change of seasons, from summer to the changing of
the leaves in fall. To the chilly winter days and nights, and yes even snow. Winter
gives way to spring, where flowers bloom and the cycle starts all over again. We have
also had people to change on us as well. One day they are one way and the next they
are another. Some days they are with us some days they are not. Even in family we
find the same things. It seems like everything changes around us, and sometimes it for
the good and sometimes for the not so good. Fortunately we can always know that God
will never change. The Scripture reminds us the God does not change and because He
doesn’t we are not consumed. I encourage you today to remember God never
changes. People may change, your surroundings may change, but God never changes.
The same way He loved you yesterday, is the same way He loves you today. The
same way He took care of you yesterday is the same way He will take care of you
today. The same way He gave you grace, and mercy in the past is the same way He
will continue to pour it out on your life. People will change and things will change, but I
am so grateful my God never changes. Since I know God will never change, I can be
confident in proclaiming, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
